How To Apply | Fully funded scholarship offers 250 Slot’s by Indian Government

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to invite qualified Nigerians to apply for fully-funded scholarship offers in different areas of professional training sponsored by the Government of India.

The scholarship offer is coordinated by the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) Programme and it is from April 2025 to March 2026.

According to the High Commission of India in Abuja, there are two hundred and fifty (250) slots for qualified Nigerians. The list of available courses can be found at https://itecgoi.in/upcoming_courses .

Interested applicants are kindly advised to visit www.itecgoi.in and fill out the online application form. The ITEC Eligibility Criteria and Submission Process are contained in the attached document below.

ITEC ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND PROCESS

Some of The Main Eligibility Conditions:

The applicant should have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in Government and on the job relevant to the Course applied for.

The applicant should possess academic qualifications as laid down by the Institute for the Course concerned.

The applicant should be between the age of 25 to 45 years.

The training under ITEC may be availed by Officials of Government who has not availed of training sponsored by Government of India any time before.

ITEC Application Procedure:

1. Applicants can browse the available courses and can apply for ITEC training program by filling up the Online application and take a print out of filled form. This form is to be completed with other required details and to be submitted to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning, Abuja, along with Nomination Letter from candidate’s employer and copies of; office Id card, Employment Letter, data page of passport and certificates; Three months from the starting date of the course.

2. The Ministry is, in turn, required to forward the applications of suitable candidates to the High Commission of India, Abuja, Nigeria along with undertaking by candidate and certification from employer. Part-II of Application Form is to be filled by your employed Ministry/Organization.

3. The email address provide under the residential details is your ITEC website account user-name. It will be confirmed to you before your final submission. When your application is successfully submitted, please login to print your application form.

4. Medical Report is to be completed by a registered medical practitioner working in Government/Designated hospital. All details in the report must be completed. Copy of medical certificate of fitness is to be attached to the Medical Report.

5. Candidates may later check the status of their application by logging-in at www.itecgoi.in .The credentials for log-in may be noted while filling up the form. Successful/rejected applications will be communicated by email.
