We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: workshop officer – auto electrical golden sugar company – sunti

Location: Sunti, Niger

PURPOSE

The Workshop Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all auto-electrical repair and maintenance activities in the workshop. The role ensures that vehicles, tractors, and heavy-duty equipment electrical systems are properly diagnosed, repaired, and maintained in accordance with manufacturer standards and company policies.

 

THE JOB

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of auto electricians in the workshop.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles, tractors, and heavy machinery.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of wiring, lighting, ignition, charging, air-conditioning, and other electronic systems.
  • Allocate tasks to workshop staff, monitor progress, and ensure quality of work.
  • Provide technical support, guidance, and training to auto electricians and trainees.
  • Maintain records of repairs, parts usage, and service history.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental standards, and company policies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher National Diploma/B.Tech. in Auto Electrical, Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

THE PERSON MUST

 

Have strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and equipment management systems.

Be proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office tools.

Possess excellent organizational and analytical skills to coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Be able to prepare maintenance forecasts, track work orders, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
