Global Village Healthcare Initiative for Africa (GHIV Africa) is a Non-governmental, Non-for profit humanitarian/Developmental organization which started in 2014. We deliver assistance and protection to affected populations before, during and after crisis situations.
Experience1 – 2 years
Location Adamawa , Borno.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with program staff to develop data collection tools, ensuring they align with project indicators and objectives.
- Qualitative data collection (FGD and KII) with beneficiaries.
- Conduct regular data collection in the field, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Enter, clean, and manage collected data in designated databases or systems.
- Responsible for data storage and ensure proper data archiving of all reports regarding project activities.
- Work closely with MEAL officer in community sensitization, compilation of feedback and complaints at the field level as well as compliant resolution
- Collaborate with MEAL Coordinator to ensure data quality through routine validation and verification processes.
- Assist in the implementation of project monitoring plans, tracking progress against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Generate routine and ad-hoc reports on project activities, outputs, and outcomes.
- Support the preparation of data visualizations, graphs, and charts to effectively communicate findings.
- Assist in the design and execution of baseline, midline, and endline evaluations.
- Contribute to data analysis and interpretation during evaluations.
- Collaborate with external evaluators to provide necessary data and insights.
- Assist in the implementation of feedback mechanisms for program beneficiaries and stakeholders.

- Support the collection of beneficiary feedback and complaints, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
- Collaborate with the MEAL team to organize learning events, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Contribute to lessons learned and best practices documentation for continuous improvement.
- Assist in disseminating program results and learning within the organization and to external partners.
- Proficiency in the use of Kobo toolbox and research.
- Proficient using analysis tool (Excel, SPSS, or Power BI).
Capacity Building:
- Provide training and capacity-building support to program staff and partners on data collection tools and methodologies.
- Help build the capacity of field staff to ensure accurate and consistent data collection.
Ethical Standards and Data Security:
- Adhere to ethical data collection and management practices, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain data security and compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., social sciences, development studies, statistics).
- Prior experience (1-2 years) in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, or related fields.
- Proficiency in data collection tools, data entry, and basic data analysis.
- Familiarity with database management software and data visualization tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with humanitarian or development projects is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant software (Excel, statistical software) is advantageous.
- Fluency in written and spoken English (additional languages may be beneficial).
