Position: LEGAL OFFICER
Location : Zamfara State
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Provide legal support and representation to vulnerable groups, including counseling, awareness, and case follow-up.
- Promote access to justice through stakeholder collaboration, rights monitoring, and accurate reporting
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); called to the Nigerian Bar (B.L).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of post-call legal practice, preferably with experience in legal aid, human rights, or humanitarian law.
- The candidate MUST be an indigene of Zamfara State.
- Sound knowledge of Nigerian legal system, human rights instruments, and legal procedures.
- Experience working in humanitarian or development contexts is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vulnerable individuals and community members.
- Strong organizational and case documentation skills.
- Proficiency in English and Hausa is required; knowledge of local languages in Zamfara (e.g., Fulfulde) is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently to field locations, including hard-to-reach areas.
