Specific responsibilities include:
- Coordinate all RHCC supported data management activities in the project state, including collating data on service delivery, service providers, supervision and trainings.
- Coordinate monthly data validation meetings in collaboration with the state Primary Healthcare Development Agency, SPHCDA and (Local Government Area) LGA M&E officers.
- In collaboration with Community Engagement Focal Person (CEFP), conduct monthly data quality checks of the primary CHIPS data to ensure high quality and follow up to ensure that all identified data quality issues are resolved by the person responsible.
- Mentor CHIPS personnel, health facility workers, LGA and State officers on CHIPS data management.
- Provide technical support on use of technology, such as troubleshooting issues arising from community data submission by CEFPs
- Collaborate with the RHCC M&E Officer to plan and conduct data quality audit (DQA) exercises in selected service provider sites
- Participate in routine and spot check visits to CHIPS personnel and CHEWs to conduct on-the-job training on the use of CHIPS data tools and ensure that service providers are using the national data tools.
- Serve as a resource person on data management during trainings.
- Support the RHCC State Coordinator to develop activity plans and reports.
- Support the capacity building and routine mentoring and supervision of CHIPS personnel
- Confirm quality and validity of items supplied by vendors.
- Coordinate the collation of payment supporting documents from participants and vendors for all activities conducted in the state.
- Prepare payment schedules for all activities and resolve failed payment issues
- Perform other roles as may be assigned by supervisor.
Required Experience
- B.Sc. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or closely related discipline with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation.
- Previous experience in using digital data collection tools and mobile devices (experience using for health interventions an added advantage).
- Understanding of the malaria, iCCM, or CHIPS programme in Nigeria
- Familiarity with national iCCM and/or malaria indicators, data collection, and reporting tools.
- Excellent knowledge of DHIS2 and mobile data collection tools (e.g. KoboCollect).
- Excellent knowledge of computer software – MS Office packages (highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word).
- Fluency in English and knowledge of at least one local language of the project state.
- Good facilitation, mentoring, and report writing skills.
