The legal Practitioner will play a crucial role in upholding justice and the rule of tow by representing the Company, providing legal advice and ensuring the fair and impartial application of the law.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Representing the Company
  • Providing Legal Advice
  • Ensure fair and impartial justice
  • Preventing unauthorized practice of law

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Must have obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree, with a minimum of SECOND Class (Lower Division): A degree in Law from a recognized University accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC)
  • Must have been called to the Nigerian Bar and enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (BL); Be between 2-5 years post call
  • Law firm experience: 2-5 years of experience working in a law firm, depending on the jurisdiction and type of law
  • Court Experience: Experience appearing in court, either as a sollicitor or barrister,
  • In house experience: expenence working as in-house courrsel for a company or organization;
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, strong research skills and emotional intelligence are paramount.
  • Knowledge in Corporate Governance:
  • Strong negotiation skills,
  • Understanding of the Nigerian Business Law (eg, CAMA, Tax Laws,Labor Laws);
  • Knowledge of Company Secretarial practices and Must be computer literate.
