Job Summary

Program Officer

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and organized program officer to join our team
  • The program officer will lead and coordinate all projects focused on providing timely and
    effective assistance to the target audience.
  • The role requires strategic planning, program development, and management to ensure the
    delivery of high-quality services in alignment with organizational values and mission.
  • The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, extensive field experience, and
    commitment to improving the lives of the most vulnerable population.

Job Role

  • Design and develop new programs or initiatives per the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Conduct needs assessments, research best practices, and develop strategies.
  • Oversee and manage program activities, ensuring adherence to the project plan.
  • Collect and analyze data, evaluate program outcomes, and prepare progress reports.
    Your Profile: Education & Experience
  • University degree or HND degree in public health, and social sciences.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working in collaboration with other teams—such as fundraising, program
    management, or field teams
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, data analysis and interpretation
  • Experience working or volunteering in the nonprofit sector is preferred, especially with
    NGOs, advocacy groups, or community organizations.

Job Title: Content Writer (Volunteer)

Job Role:

  • Develop content for awareness campaigns, including social media posts, newsletters,
    website content, and press releases.
  • Collaborate with campaign teams to create content that informs the public about social
    issues, encourages participation, and raises funds.
  • Create narratives that resonate emotionally with the audience, showcasing the challenges
    communities face and the impact of the NGO’s work.
  • Use credible sources and data to support content, ensuring accuracy and relevance in all communications.

Your profile: Education and Experience

  • University degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Public Relations, Marketing, or
    Social Sciences.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in content writing, journalism, or communication is
    typically required. Experience in storytelling, especially with a focus on human interest
    stories or social issues.
  • Excellent Writing, Editing, and Proofreading Skills.
  • Creative Thinking and Storytelling.
  • Social Media and SEO Optimization Skills.

Job Title: Grant Writer/ Partnership Coordinator (Volunteer)

Job Role:

  • Research potential funding sources, including foundations, government agencies,
    corporations, and other entities that align with the organization’s mission and programs.
  • Stay informed on funding trends and specific requirements or priorities set by funders.
  • Write and edit high-quality, persuasive grant proposals that communicate the
    organization’s goals, program details, budget, and anticipated outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with funders, including ongoing communication and
    updates about program successes and challenges.
  • Assist in developing a strategic funding plan that aligns with the organization’s long-term
    goals and priorities.

Your Profile: Education and Experience

  • A university degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Public
    Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in grant writing, proposal writing, or fundraising
    within the nonprofit sector.
  • Familiarity with the nonprofit sector is important, especially understanding program
    structures, budgets, and reporting needs.
  • Ability to write persuasively, clearly, and concisely, adapting style and language to fit each
    specific funder’s guidelines.
  • Strong research skills to identify potential funding opportunities and understand funder
    interests and requirements.
