Job Title:Malaria Data Specialist
Location:Niger, Jigawa, Kano, Kebbi & Sokoło
Our client is seeking to engage a suitably qualified Malaria Data Specialist to strengthen malaria data quality, reporting, analysis, and use across state, LGA, and facility levels, ensuring timely and credible data informs programme decisions, identifies performance gaps, supports corrective actions, and strengthens data-driven implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strengthen malaria data quality through routine data checks, verification, and monitoring of reporting completeness and timeliness.
- Analyse malaria programme data to identify trends, outliers, performance gaps, and areas requiring corrective action.
- Support data review and use by facilitating review meetings and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Build government data capacity in analysis, visualisation, interpretation, and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
- Degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Information Management, Computer/Data Science, or a related field.
- 4-6 years’ experience in health data or M&E, with malaria programme experience strongly preferred.
- Strong Excel and data-visualisation skills, with knowledge of DHIS2/NHMIS or similar routine health information systems.
- Experience conducting Data Quality Assessments (DQA). analysing health data, and facilitating data review meetings.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to communicate data insights and recommendations effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
