Job Title: Sustainability Specialist

About the Job
Our client is seeking to engage a suitably qualified Sustainability Specialist to operationalise the malaria sustainability and transition agenda at state level by strengthening government ownership, institutional capacity, financing, and handover of programme-supported functions, ensuring sustainable integration of priority malaria interventions into government systems, plans, budgets, and coordination structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess state capacity across malaria service delivery, data, supply chain, SBCC, and coordination functions.
- Develop and track transition plans, scorecards, milestones, and government ownership targets
- Support integration of malaria priorities into state/LGA plans, budgets, and institutional responsibilities.
- Monitor transition progress and risks, coordinate stakeholders, and document lessons, commitments, and handover outcomes.
Requirements:
- BSC degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Health Policy, Public Administration, Development Studies, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in health systems strengthening, governance, planning. financing, sustainability, or related areas.
- Government engagement experience, particularly working with state health, planning, and budgeting structures.
- Strong stakeholder and facilitation skills, with the ability to build government ownership and coordinate diverse partners.
- Knowledge of malaria sustainability and transition, including costing, milestone tracking, and documentation.
