Job Description
- The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist within KTHSMB healthcare facilities.
- The role involves handling prescriptions, maintaining accurate records, managing drug inventory, and ensuring proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- The technician will support efficient pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in dispensing medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Receive, process, and verify prescription orders.
- Prepare, package, and label medications accurately.
- Maintain and update pharmacy records and documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels and report stock shortages or expiries.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
- Assist in basic drug compounding and preparation.
- Support inventory control and stock management processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
- Assist in providing basic information to patients under supervision.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Pharmacy Technician or related field.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Relevant experience.
