Job Description
- The Radiographer is responsible for conducting high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment within KTHSMB healthcare facilities.
- The role involves operating imaging equipment such as X-ray, CT, and ultrasound machines, ensuring radiation safety standards, and maintaining accurate imaging records.
- The officer will work closely with medical practitioners to deliver timely and precise imaging services while adhering to professional and ethical standards in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-ray, CT scan, and ultrasound as required.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures ensuring comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment effectively.
- Ensure compliance with radiation protection and safety standards.
- Process and review imaging results for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate patient imaging records and documentation.
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals on diagnosis and treatment.
- Monitor and report equipment faults and coordinate maintenance.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of imaging data and films.
- Provide guidance to patients on procedures and post-imaging care.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography or Medical Imaging.
- NYSC Discharged / Exemption Certificate.
- Valid professional license / practice registration.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques.
- Good patient care and communication skills.
- Relevant experience.
