Young Leaders Programme 2026 | Fully Funded to Hanoi, Viet Nam

Background
The South China Sea International Conference of the Diplomatic Academy of Viet Nam is a leading regional maritime security forum held annually, which gathers a large number of prominent scholars, practitioners and policy-makers on geopolitics and maritime issues. The conference series is paneled by leading experts and attracts broad attendance by local and international participants.
The Young Leaders Programme is an activity under the Conference to provide a platform for the next generation of leaders to engage with complex issues surrounding the South China Sea and to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate these challenges in the years to come. Through this programme, we will bring together young potential leaders from across the region to exchange ideas, build networks, and learn from experts in the field. Becoming a participant of the Young Leaders Programme of the 18th South China Sea International Conference means being part of a network of scholars who are eager to contribute their thoughts for promoting peace, cooperation, and development in the South China Sea and the broader region called Indo-Pacific. The participants will have the unique chance to interact with thought leaders of the region and globally, who meet at the Conference once a year to share their latest findings and thoughts on matters of importance to the well-being of the region.
