Job Summary:
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, and maintaining relationships with suppliers. This is a key role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
> Manage procurement processes, including tendering, bidding, and contract management.
> Ensure compliance with donor regulations, organizational policies, and procedures.
> Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners.
> Conduct market research and analyze prices to ensure best value for money.
> Prepare and manage procurement reports, contracts, and other documents.
> Collaborate with program staff to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans
Required Qualifications:
Education
> Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
> NYSC Certificate.
Experience and Skills
> At least 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a nonprofit or humanitarian context.
> Strong knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and procedures.
> Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
> Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
> Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
> Familiarity with donor regulations (e.g., USAID, DFID, EU, Embassies).
> Experience working in Northern Nigeria and NGO space
