POSITION: PROTECTION OFFICER
Location: Zamfara State
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Monitor protection risks and provide case management, referrals, and community-based protection support.
- Promote rights and protection systems through coordination, awareness, and data-driven reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Law, Psychology, International Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in protection programming, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
- Knowledge of humanitarian protection principles and experience working in conflict-affected areas.
- The candidate MUST be an indigene of Zamfara State.
- Familiarity with protection tools, assessments, and case management procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in English and Hausa is required. Fluency in local languages spoken in Zamfara (e.g., Fulfulde) is a strong asset.
- Ability to work independently and in remote or hard-to-reach areas.
- Good report writing and data collection skills.
