Job Title: Truck Driver

Location: Yola, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • To safely and efficiently transport bottled water products to retailers, distributors, or direct customers while maintaining timely deliveries and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Drive company trucks to deliver bottled water to assigned destinations according to delivery schedules.
  • Load and unload bottled water products carefully to avoid damage.
  • Verify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures on invoices or delivery notes.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Report vehicle issues or maintenance needs to the logistics or maintenance team.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, fuel logs, and mileage reports.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company delivery policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good condition at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers.
  • Assist with basic warehouse tasks when not on delivery runs, if needed

Requirements

  • Minimum SSCE / WAEC / NECO certificate.
  • 2+ years of experience driving delivery trucks, preferably in the beverage or FMCG industry.
  • Familiarity with local and regional delivery routes.
  • Valid driver’s license for the appropriate vehicle category (e.g., Class D or equivalent).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
  • Punctual, reliable, and respectful to customers.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy water bottles and crates.
  • Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Must be based in Yola
