Amnesty International Nigeria, with support from the German Embassy in Nigeria, is inviting applications for the Micro-Influencer Cohort 2026 under the Strengthening Human Rights Defenders to Protect Civic Space Project. This initiative is targeted at young, passionate digital creators who are committed to using their platforms to promote human rights, civic engagement, and ethical storytelling.
The programme is designed to empower micro-influencers with the tools, knowledge, and network needed to drive meaningful social change online and within their communities. Participants will gain valuable insights into responsible digital advocacy while amplifying important social justice issues.

WHO CAN APPLY?
- Ages 18-35
- Based in Lagos, Abuja, or Enugu
- 10-25k followers on at least one social media platform (Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, X, Youtube, Tiktok)
- Create engaging and socially relevant content
- Passionate about civic engagement and responsible digital influence
- Available to participate in programme activities between May-August 2026.
What Selected Participants Will Receive
- Comprehensive training on human rights advocacy and digital security
- Access to mentorship opportunities from experienced advocates
- Inclusion in a network of civic actors and content creators
- A mini advocacy support grant to execute campaigns
- Certificate of participation upon completion
- Opportunities for content amplification through organized campaigns
