The research team at Research Applied Institute for Sustainability in Science, Agriculture and Technology (RAISSAT) is seeking motivated, detail-oriented Volunteer Research Assistants to support ongoing and upcoming research projects. The role is fully remote.

Type Role : Fully Remote

Responsibilities include
-Assisting with data collection, organization, and analysis
-Conducting literature reviews and compiling relevant references
-Supporting manuscript writing, grant writing, presentations, and project documentation
-Performing other research-related tasks as assigned

Requirements
-Resident in Nigeria; as our current projects are focused in Nigeria
-Strong interest in research and academic work
-Must have completed a bachelor’s degree in any of these fields or closely related departments: Animal Science / Public Health / Bioscience / Food Science.
-Excellent organizational and communication skills
-Proficiency in MS-Excel, SPSS, R, Power BI, Mendeley
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred
-Graduate students in fields mentioned above
-Prior experience with research or data handling (with evidence of research output)
-Must have a functional personal computer with webcam.
-Stable ⁠Internet connection.

NOTE:  that this is a volunteer unpaid position for the first 6 months, with a possibility of transitioning into a fulltime research staff at the end of this period. This transition is contingent on a positive performance review
