Job Title: Community Engagement Officer (Volunteer)
Location: Remote Reports To: CEO/Founder Duration: 6 Months (Renewable based on performance)
Position Overview
The Community Engagement Officer (Volunteer) will be responsible for building and sustaining meaningful relationships between Lead For Good Africa and the communities it serves. This role focuses on driving awareness, mobilising participation and strengthening LFGA’s presence within target communities. The ideal candidate is people-centred, passionate about social impact and skilled at connecting with diverse groups effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach & Mobilisation
Design and implement outreach strategies that drive awareness and participation in LFGA’s programmes across target communities. - Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building
Build and maintain trust-based relationships with community members, grassroots organisations and local stakeholders aligned with LFGA’s mission. - Programme & Event Coordination Support
Support the planning and coordination of community engagement events including outreach drives, information sessions and stakeholder forums. - Content Development & Advocacy
Gather stories, testimonials and case studies from community members and beneficiaries to support LFGA’s communications and advocacy efforts. - Reporting & M&E Support
Prepare accurate and timely reports on community engagement activities, outreach outcomes and stakeholder interactions for internal review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Mass Communication, Community Development or a related field.
- Experience in community engagement, outreach or social mobilisation is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathetic, culturally sensitive, organised, and self-motivated with a genuine passion for community development.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
