Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) – Holland in Nigeria Limited by Guarantee is an international, independent, non-profit medical humanitarian organisation. MSF provides assistance to people affected by armed conflict, natural or man-made disasters, and other situations of crisis, without discrimination based on race, religion, beliefs, or political affiliation.

MSF has been working in Nigeria since February 1996, in collaboration with national and local authorities, under a Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal Government of Nigeria.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 To execute, according to hygienic standards, housekeeping, cleaning and tiding up activities in order to ensure public and staff private areas are in good condition.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Sweep and mop floors regularly to maintain
  • Restock necessary supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and other essentials as
  • Monitor water availability in areas like the kitchen and showers, especially during water cuts, to ensure adequate
  • Clean windows, office tables, and
  • Conduct a thorough cleaning of the premises once a month, including deep floor cleaning, dusting windows, doors, freezers, and the water dispenser.
  • Track water bottle consumption and promptly inform the HR Supervisor when supplies are running
  • Clean fridges, freezers, and water coolers according to the schedule provided by the
  • Ensure the cleanliness of offices, meeting rooms, furniture, windows, bathrooms, and other areas, adhering to MSF’s hygiene standards.
  • Prepare chair arrangements for meetings and exams, ensuring supplies like toilet paper, tissues, soap, and detergent are adequately stocked, and promptly inform the supervisor when these supplies run low.
  • Follow and execute the cleaning checklist or schedule provided by the supervisor

 

REQUIREMENTS
Education Essential:Secondary school certificate
 

Experience

Essential:1 year relevant experience 

Desirable:Working experience with MSF/INGO

 

Languages

Essential: Fluent Hausa and English 

Desirable: Fulfulde (Fulani) – working level

Knowledge Desirable:Knowledge of basic cleanng products
