Job Title: PHYSIOTHERAPIST SUPERVISOR
Location: Kano
Contract: Fixed term; and Working hours according to Nigeria labour Law
THE MAIN PURPOSE
Following medical prescription, plan and carry out individual treatment programs, by assessing
patients’ physical state, to maintain, improve or rehabilitate the physical well-being of the patient and prevent physical handicaps.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (non-exhaustive list)
1. Clinical Leadership & Patient Care: Lead and supervise the implementation of (specialized) rehabilitation interventions, ensuring quality, safety, and continuity of care.
- Conduct/Oversee patient assessments and collaborate with the team to develop and adjust treatment plans
- Guide and support the rehabilitation team in daily patient care
- Ensure delivered care aligns with referral criteria, protocols, ethical standards and legal requirements
- Encourage involvement of patients’ families and caregivers in their treatment process
- Manage patient continuity of care, from admission to discharge
2. Activity Management & Quality Improvement
- Organize, monitor and evaluate rehabilitation activities, including data analysis to ensure alignment with project’s goal
- Contribute to annual activity planning and budget development
- Promote inclusive, non-discrimination rehabilitation services
- Ensure compliance with hygiene standards, aseptic practices
3. Team Supervision & Capacity Building
- Supervise the rehabilitation team
- Organize schedules, validate leaves, and ensure care-continuity during absences
- Identify training needs and lead knowledge-sharing sessions
4. Equipment, Stock & Inventory Management
- Ensuring availability, proper use and maintenance of rehabilitation equipment
- Monitor inventory levels and manage orders
- Coordinate cleaning and safety checks of equipment with MSF Bio med
- Provide feedback on materials, suggest improvements or new equipment/consumables
5. Data Management, Reporting & Communication
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date filing of patient lists, document dropouts, discharges, and functional outcomes
- Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of patient data.
- Ensure data collection (clinical and activity indicators) and timely entry into registers and databases.
- Analyze service data (indicators, statistics) and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to line manager and referents.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Education
Essential: Rehabilitation degree (e.g. physiotherapy)
2 years’ experience in pediatric rehabilitation.
Experience in pediatric malnutrition is preferential,
Experience in data analysis, activity management and research is preferential,
Experience
NGO experience is preferential.
Computer : Computer literacy
Language: Fluency in English and Hausa language is essential

REMUNERATION
According to the MSF WACA salary scale (Level 7) in Nigeria.
