Job Title: Special Intervention Lead

 

Location: Sokoto, Zamfara, Borno

 

Our client is currently supporting the National Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), with innovative approaches aimed at improving the quality of polio campaigns across the country. To support this effort, we are seeking SI Leads who will provide technical assistance and leadership coordination for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of special polio interventions.

We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Special Intervention Leads to support the implementation and improvement of polio campaigns across key states in Nigeria. This role is critical to strengthening public health interventions and ensuring the effective delivery of campaign activities at the community level.

 

The ideal candidates will have strong coordination, planning, and field implementation experience, particularly in public health or related programs. You will play a key role in stakeholder engagement, execution of interventions, and monitoring of campaign performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the planning process for Special Interventions (IEV, RES, Independent Surveys, Cross-border Activities, etc
  • Develop Comprehensive Special Intervention Campaign Plans (IEV, RES, ACSM interventions, Independent Surveys, etc)
  • Draft and validate campaign budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Organize engagement stakeholder meetings at LGA and ward levels to ensure buy-in for the campaign plan.
  • Submit timely updates to the State Technical Lead and other relevant stakeholders on campaign progress, challenges, and resolutions

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Health Sciences, or related fields. A Masters’ degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4- 10 years working experience with previous experience in polio campaigns and implementation.
  • Strong experience in campaign coordination in high-risk/insecure settings.
  • Fluency in the local dialects of the geographic region is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
