Role: Data Enumerators (2 weeks assignment)

Location: 36 state and the FCT

Available Positions: 3 per state (covering each of the 3 senatorial districts)

Work Duration:  

  • 10 consecutive working days
  • Monday to Friday

Role Overview

Invictus Africa is seeking detail-oriented and reliable Data Enumerators to support field operations for a national survey on voter attitudes, past behaviour, and future voting intentions towards women, youth, and persons with disabilities as political candidates and leaders in Nigeria.

Successful candidates will collect, record, and verify high-quality data from urban and rural communities. As part of the data acquisition team, you will gather information from 100 survey respondents across two LGAs the selected senatorial district. This role requires effective engagement with community residents and the ability to adhere to strict protocols and work independently. Enumerators must be available for the entire duration, including training and debrief session.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities

  • Administer structured questionnaires using KoboCollect.
  • Ensure completeness, internal consistency and accuracy of data collected from respondents and properly document/input such into KoboCollect.
  • Interpret interview questions (in local dialect) to assist respondents in understanding them.
  • Capture GPS coordinates and photos of field activities.
  • Submit daily field report in the format approved by the project.
  • Obtain free, informed consent from all respondents.
  • Ensure confidentiality & ethical consideration in line with the Invictus Africa’s data protection principles & the humanitarian principles of do no harm.

 Expected Output/Target 

  • At least 100 completed questionnaires (10 per day) 
  • 10 daily field reports (1 per day). 

Qualification and Requirement 

  • Diploma or higher in any field. 
  • Minimum of two years experience in field-based data collection or research. 
  • Demonstrated ability to use digital data collection platforms (KoboCollect). 
  • Access to a functional smartphone or tablet compatible with KoboCollect App. 
  • Basic Microsoft Office Skills. 
  • Familiarity with a senatorial district of your choice in your state. 
  • Fluency in English and the predominate local language(s) of the senatorial district. 
  • Demonstrated ability to meet daily collection targets and adhere to strict project deadlines. 

Payment 

  • Enumerators will receive ₦10,000 per day for 10 days (₦100,000 total), covering field time and local travel within the selected senatorial district. 
  • Payment will be processed upon satisfactory completion of: Assigned data-collection targets 
  • Data quality verification by the MEL Lead. 
  • Payments will be made through official channels in line with organizational financial controls.
  • No advance payments will be issued.
