The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit organisation founded in 1956 that works in more than 30 countries throughout the world.

Location  :MMC/Jere, Bama, Banki, and Ngala, Borno state.

About the position

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

He/she will Assist:

  • The MEAL Team to carrying out all Assessments, beneficiaries profiling and data upload to online platform, and other MEAL related activity.

He/she ensure that:

  • They follow all DRC’s Code of Conduct
  • All activities and information or data are kept Confidential
  • They are impartial in carrying out their duties especially in dealing with Beneficiaries.
  • They have a good contextual knowledge of Local Community and Social/Cultural constraints, realities and organizational relationships.

He/she will manage:

  • All DRC’s gadgets such as Phones, Chargers, power bank, Visibilities etc.
  • All DRC’s Data and have high level of credibility, confidentiality, and accountability.

About you

To be successful in this role, we expect the following:

Required

  • Minimum 1year of experience of working in a relief or development agency (preferably in the monitoring and evaluation domain).
  • Minimum of Secondary School Certificate and Computer skill.
  • A good knowledge of General and Mobile Data Collection Tools. E.g, KOBO Collect, ODK (Open Data Kit), Magpi e.t.c.
  • Experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection activities (surveys, assessments, monitoring, evaluations, etc.
  • Inspires trust within/outside of the Organization.

Desirable

  • Fluency in spoken and written  English, Kanuri, Hausa, and Community Immediate Language is required.
  • Willingness to travel locally up to 90% of the time.
