Call for Applications: National Youth Agribusiness Strategy (NYAS) Domestication Dialogue

Empowering the Next Generation of Agri-Food Leaders

It is often said that young people are the future of agribusiness; however, in Nigeria today, young innovators and women are actively shaping the present. To further catalyze this transformation, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), in strategic partnership with AGRA, is proud to announce the National Youth Agribusiness Strategy Domestication Dialogue.

This landmark event serves as a high-level platform for young agripreneurs to engage directly with policy frameworks, financial institutions, and climate experts to ensure that Nigeria’s agricultural policies are practical, inclusive, and effective at the grassroots level.

Event Theme

“Building climate-resilient and finance-enabled pathways for youth and women in Nigeria’s agrifood systems.”

Why You Should Apply

The Federal Government and AGRA are committed to removing the barriers that hinder youth participation in agriculture. This dialogue offers a rare opportunity for selected participants to gain unparalleled access to the following:

•  All-Expenses-Paid Participation: We are selecting 150 exceptional agripreneurs from across the 36 states and the FCT for a fully sponsored experience, covering travel, accommodation, and feeding.

•  Premier Exhibition Space: Over 50 selected agripreneurs will be provided with free exhibition booths to showcase their products, innovations, and services to high-level stakeholders, investors, and policymakers.

•  Policy and Finance Insights: Engage in deep-dive sessions regarding “Domestication”—the process of making national strategies work for local businesses. Learn about new credit facilities, climate-smart agricultural techniques, and export market requirements.

•  High-Level Networking: Connect with government officials, international development partners, and successful industry veterans to build sustainable partnerships.

Target Audience

We are looking for passionate, innovative, and dedicated young Nigerians (aged 18–35) and women who are:

•  Active players in the agricultural value chain (Production, Processing, Ag-Tech, Logistics, or Research).

•  Committed to building sustainable and climate-resilient businesses.

•  Ready to contribute to national policy discussions that will shape the future of Nigerian food security.
