The Farm Katsina Limited is an agricultural and flour mill comapny that deals in the livestock farming which includes cattle and poultry and maize flour production.

Job Title: Feed Miller

Job Purpose

• The Feed Miller is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining feed mill equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality animal feed.
• The role involves adhering to safety standards, quality control procedures, and production schedules while minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor feed milling machinery such as grinders, mixers, pelletizers, conveyors, and packaging units.
• Ensure accurate weighing, mixing, and formulation of feed ingredients according to established recipes and nutrition standards.
• Maintain production records, including batch reports, raw material usage, and finished product output.
• Inspect raw materials and finished feed for quality compliance.
• Troubleshoot and report mechanical issues, coordinating with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
• Enforce safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Conduct routine cleaning and minor preventive maintenance of machines to minimize breakdowns.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management of raw materials and finished products.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in feed production efficiency and cost reduction.

Qualifications & Experience

• Candidates should possess an OND / HND / B.Sc. in Animal Science, Agriculture, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a feed mill or related manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of feed formulation, feed safety standards, and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with feed mill machinery and plant operations.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
