About the UNDP Digital Transformation Internship

Are you passionate about digital innovation and development? The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is now accepting applications for the 2025 Digital Transformation Internship Program, a global opportunity for young professionals and students eager to make a real impact through technology and innovation. This internship places you at the heart of the UNDP’s digital transformation journey—working on projects that directly contribute to global development and digital inclusion.

If you’re looking to gain meaningful experience within an international development agency while contributing to the UN’s ambitious digital agenda, this could be the perfect opportunity.

The UNDP is the leading development agency of the United Nations, operating in over 170 countries and territories. Its mission is to help countries eliminate poverty and achieve sustainable development in line with the 2030 Agenda. As the world evolves rapidly through digital innovation, the UNDP is actively integrating digital technologies into its operations and partner programs.

Since the launch of its first Digital Strategy in 2019, UNDP has been working to use digital tools to promote better governance, improve crisis response, and drive inclusive innovation. The current Digital Strategy 2022–2025 sets the course to create a digital ecosystem that empowers both people and the planet.

The internship offers a unique chance to work directly with the Chief Digital Office (CDO)—the transformation team spearheading the digital agenda across all UNDP levels. Interns will support the planning, implementation, and communication of digital initiatives that help bring about change in partner countries and across UNDP’s global operations.

Note: The start date for the internship is negotiable depending on your availability and the needs of the team.
