About the Role
- As our Seed Production Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of field-level seed multiplication, ensuring quality, compliance, and yield performance across maize, rice, soybean, and other key crops.
- You’ll work closely with outgrowers, input suppliers, and internal agronomy staff to deliver certified seed that meets our eco-friendly and high-yielding standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage seed production schedules and planting timelines
- Supervise seed multiplication plots and monitor crop performance
- Coordinate with farmers and outgrowers under production contracts
- Ensure adherence to seed quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Track input usage, crop health, and field activities
- Collaborate with the soil and pest management team to maintain healthy crops
- Support post-harvest seed processing, packaging, and storage
- Maintain accurate records and generate regular field reports
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field
- 2–4 years’ experience in seed production or field agronomy
- Knowledge of hybrid seed systems and varietal purity standards
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to supervise farm laborers and outgrowers effectively
- Proficiency in farm data collection and basic digital tools
- Willingness to travel within Kaduna/Benue and surrounding production sites
