About the Role

  • As our Seed Production Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of field-level seed multiplication, ensuring quality, compliance, and yield performance across maize, rice, soybean, and other key crops.
  • You’ll work closely with outgrowers, input suppliers, and internal agronomy staff to deliver certified seed that meets our eco-friendly and high-yielding standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage seed production schedules and planting timelines
  • Supervise seed multiplication plots and monitor crop performance
  • Coordinate with farmers and outgrowers under production contracts
  • Ensure adherence to seed quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Track input usage, crop health, and field activities
  • Collaborate with the soil and pest management team to maintain healthy crops
  • Support post-harvest seed processing, packaging, and storage
  • Maintain accurate records and generate regular field reports

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or HND in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field
  • 2–4 years’ experience in seed production or field agronomy
  • Knowledge of hybrid seed systems and varietal purity standards
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to supervise farm laborers and outgrowers effectively
  • Proficiency in farm data collection and basic digital tools
  • Willingness to travel within Kaduna/Benue and surrounding production sites
