The Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi was established in 1980 as a Federal University of Technology, along with other similar Universities of Technology at Akure, Minna, Owerri and Yola. It was renamed Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in 1988 but still maintains its status as University of Technology. The University is located in the North-Eastern part of Nigeria.

Position Requirements

Senior Lecturer (CONUASS/CONMESS 05)

• PhD in relevant discipline / Final Professional Postgraduate qualifications in Medicine (FWACS, FMCP, FMCPath, FWACP or equivalent), and 12 years cognate experience.

Lecturer I (CONUASS/CONMESS 04)

• Masters’ Degree in relevant discipline / Final Professional Postgraduate qualifications in Medicine from a recognized institution, at least 4 publications in reputable journal and 9 years cognate experience.

Lecturer II (CONUASS/CONMESS 03)

• Masters’ Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University, at least 2 publications in reputable journal and 6 years cognate experience OR a fresh PhD holder in relevant discipline / MBBS/ MDS with evidence of requisite professional registration.

Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS/CONMESS 02)

• Masters’ Degree from a recognized University and evidence of NYSC completion. For medical sciences, requisite professional registration is required.

Laboratory Technologist I (CONTISS 08)

• Degree/HND in relevant discipline from a recognized Institution, 3 years cognate experience, Certificate of NYSC completion, ICT and requisite professional registration.

Laboratory Technologist II (CONTISS 07)

• Degree/HND in relevant discipline from a recognized Institution, Certificate of NYSC completion and ICT.
