Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa (SLUK) is a state-owned University located in Jigawa State, North-east, Nigeria. The University was established by the Jigawa State Government in May 2013. It is the 39th State-owned University licensed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and 129th in the Nigerian University System (NUS). Sule Lamido University has no religious affiliation ad admits students irrespective of their cultural and religious backgrounds.

Requirements

Candidate seeking appointment as a Associate Professor must have:

• A Doctorate Degree in the relevant field
• A minimum of 9 years teaching and research experience
• Evidence of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals and books published by reputable publishers.
• The candidates must also show evidence of having published several articles in national or international peer – reviewed journals.

Remuneration

• Salary Grade: CONUASS 06.
• The salary and other conditions of service are similar to what obtains in the Nigerian University system.
• Placement of the successful candidates would be on enhanced steps within the appropriate CONUASS grade as an incentive.
