Location: Abuja with regular travel to implementing states (Niger, Jigawa, Kano, Kebbi & Sokoto)
About the Job
Our client is seeking to engage a suitably qualified Technical Advisor Senior Malaria Technical Lead to provide strategic technical leadership and quality assurance across malaria prevention, case management, service delivery, surveillance, commodities, SBCC, and sustainability interventions, ensuring alignment with national guidelines, evidence-based programming, consistent technical standards, and effective implementation across supported states.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across malaria prevention, case management, surveillance, and service delivery.
- Ensure quality and compliance with national malaria guidelines, standards, and programme objectives.
- Identify technical gaps and drive corrective actions across implementing states.
- Strengthen technical capacity through mentorship, stakeholder engagement, and evidence-based learning.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, Parasitology, Health Systems, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of experience in malaria or public health, with demonstrated senior technical expertise in malaria programme design and implementation.
- Strong technical knowledge of malaria prevention, diagnosis, treatment, surveillance, service delivery, commodities, and community-based interventions.
- Experience providing technical leadership and advisory support to national/state malaria programmes and large donor-funded or multi-partner programmes.
- Strong evidence synthesis, technical writing, mentoring, facilitation, and complex problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple technical areas.
