Description
- The Personal Banking Sales Executive is responsible for acquiring new customers, growing the bank’s customer base, promoting personal banking products and services, and achieving assigned sales and revenue targets.
- The role involves proactive customer acquisition through field sales, referrals, direct marketing, networking, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire new customers and open new personal and retail banking accounts.
- Promote and sell the bank’s products and services, including savings accounts, current accounts, loans, cards, digital banking solutions, and other approved financial products.
- Generate quality leads through field visits, referrals, networking, community engagement, and direct marketing.
- Meet and consistently exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable banking products and solutions.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential customer segments.
- Follow up on leads, prospects, and customer requests to drive successful conversions.
- Cross-sell and upsell relevant banking products to existing customers.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, leads, and conversions.
- Ensure all customer acquisition and account-opening activities comply with the bank’s policies, KYC requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with branch teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth customer onboarding and service delivery.
- Participate in sales campaigns, activation exercises, trade fairs, market activations, and other business development activities.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide relevant market intelligence to management.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Prepare regular sales and performance reports as required by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of an HND / Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, customer acquisition, or financial services is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of sales and customer acquisition techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet demanding sales targets.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Good knowledge of the local market and customer segments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital tools.
- Must be willing to work in the field and engage prospective customers directly.
