Nigerian AirForce Recruitment 2026 – Trades and Non- Trades/women BMTC 47/2026


The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 47/2026 Recruitment Exercise is scheduled to commence on 3 September 2026, with online registration opening for suitably qualified Nigerians interested in joining the Service as Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women. The registration is FREE OF CHARGE, and prospective applicants are advised to carefully review the eligibility requirements and application guidelines before submitting their applications.
Nigerian Air Force Recruitment Guidelines
Application Portal:
Interested and suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply online for recruitment into the Nigerian Air Force as Tradesmen/women and Non-tradesmen/women at https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. Applicants are advised to carefully read the requirements advertised on the portal before filling the form.
Required Application Documents
Upon successful completion of their online application, applicants must print out the following documents:
- Acknowledgment Form
- Parent/Guardians Consent Form
- Local Government Area Attestation Form (Must be accompanied by the signee’s passport photograph and a photocopy of their Driver’s Licence, National ID Card, or International Passport)
The Local Government Area Attestation Form can only be signed by one of the following authorities:
- Military officer from the applicant’s state of origin (not below the rank of Wing Commander in the Nigerian Air Force or equivalent rank in the Nigerian Army/Navy).
- Police officer of the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) and above.
- Substantive Local Government Chairman or Secretary.
- Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.
General Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for recruitment into the Nigerian Air Force, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- Must meet minimum height requirements: 1.66m for males and 1.63m for females.
- Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit, meeting all NAF standards.
- Must have no previous criminal convictions by a court of law.
Category-Specific Requirements
1. Tradesmen/women
- Age Limit: Must be between 18 and 27 years old by 1 March 2027.
- Educational Qualifications: Applicants with an ND/NCE must have at least a Lower Credit from an accredited institution. They must also possess a minimum of 5 credits (including Mathematics and English) in not more than 2 sittings across WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
- Trade Test & Drivers: Drivers and other trade applicants requiring a Trade Test must possess the 5-credit SSCE minimum requirement, their Trade Test Certificate, and a valid driving licence (for drivers).
- Sportsmen/women: Applicants applying as sports personnel must meet the 5-credit SSCE requirement and provide evidence of professional sporting experience (including certificates and medals).
2. Non-Tradesmen/women
- Age Limit: Must be between 18 and 22 years old by 1 March 2027.
- Educational Qualifications: Must possess a minimum of 5 credits (including Mathematics and English Language) in not more than 2 sittings across WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS.
- Additional Documents: Must possess Primary School Certificates and Secondary School Testimonials.
Key Dates & Next Steps
- Registration Period: Online registration opens on 3 September 2026 and closes on 14 October 2026.
- Zonal General Aptitude Test: Test dates for successful applicants will be communicated via the recruitment portal. Only candidates who pass the aptitude test will be invited for the Selection Interview.
