Job Title: Malaria Area Lead
Location: Abuja with regular travel to implementing states (Niger, Jigawa, Kano, Kebbi & Sokoto)
About the Job
Our client is seeking to engage a suitably qualified Malaria Lead / Project Director to provide executive leadership and overall accountability for programme delivery, ensuring the achievement of programme objectives, effective stakeholder coordination, and high-quality implementation across the six implementing states.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead programme delivery and ensure achievement of objectives, deliverables, milestones, and commitments.
- key Lead stakeholder and partner engagement with government, donors, and programme partners.
- Oversee implementation and performance across six states, ensuring quality, resources, and timely issue resolution.
- Oversee programme finances, procurement, staffing, risks, and operational controls to ensure compliance and value for money.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree in Public Health, Medicine, Epidemiology, Health Systems, Programme Management, or a related field.
- 12+ years of public health/programs experience, including leadership of malaria or integrated health programs.
- Senior programme leadership experience as a Project Director, Chief of Party, Programme Director, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Nigeria’s malaria programme, with experience engaging government, donors, and development partners.
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, budgets, risks, deliverables, and multi-state programmes.
