About Federal University Lafia
Federal University of Lafia was established in February 2011 with the mandate to increase access and quality of university education in Nigeria. The University is in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State. It currently has a College of Medicine, a Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development, two Schools (School of Basic and Remedial Studies and School of Postgraduate Studies), eight (8) Faculties with fifty (50) undergraduate and forty-six (46) postgraduate programmes.

The candidate who must already be a Professor, must have had twenty (20) publications, of which sixteen (16) in print out of which four (4) must be in at least three (3) different and regularly published foreign index journals.
Evidence of supervision to completion of three (3) Masters and one (1) PhD degrees.
Reader/Associate Professor
The candidate who should apply must already be a Reader and possesses a Ph.D in relevant field with evidence of outstanding and continuing achievement/teaching experience in a University. The candidate must also possess Fifteen (15) publications in reputable international and national journals and record of supervision of Ph.D and Masters Students.
Senior Lecturer
The candidate must have a Ph.D degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution plus six (6) years post qualification teaching and research experience. The candidate must also have a minimum of ten (10) publications in reputable journals with evidence of continuous research and ability to supervise postgraduate students.
Lecturer I
The candidate must have a Ph.D degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution plus three (3) years teaching experience and two (2) journal publications all of which must have been published or Ph.D with professional registration plus two (2) published journal articles or a Masters degree plus six (6) years teaching experience plus five (5) journal articles, three (3) of which must have been published.
Lecturer II
The candidate must have a Ph.D degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution or a Masters degree plus two (2) journal publication and at least three (3) years post qualification teaching and research experience at the University level.
Assistant Lecturer
The candidate must have a good second class honours degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution plus a Masters degree.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE:
The conditions of service are as obtainable in Nigerian Universities and as approved by Federal University of Lafia Governing Council.
