Job Title: Platform Engineer

Job Description
- Build and operate secure, highly available infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Administer, troubleshoot, secure, and optimise Linux production systems.
- Build and operate Docker and Kubernetes platforms.
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible.
- Build and improve CI/CD and GitOps workflows.
- Develop reusable platform components, deployment templates, and self-service capabilities.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Troubleshoot application, networking, storage, and performance issues.
- Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Contribute to on-call rotation and support incident response.
- Maintain platform documentation, standards, and runbooks for team-wide visibility.
Requirements
- 3+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineering, Linux Systems Engineering, or a related role.
- Strong hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, TLS, and load balancing.
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or private/on-premise infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
- Strong Bash, Python, Go, or similar scripting skills.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Loki, Datadog, or similar.
- Understanding of availability, scalability, resilience, backup, and disaster recovery.
