 Job Title: Head, Project Delivery

Job Summary

• The project delivery is a Pillar coordinating activity of four strategic departments – these include programs andpartnership, business development ,communication, MEALdepartments.
• This role requires strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and operational excellence to ensure projects meet their objectives, deadlines, and budgets while aligning with AYGF’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• ​​​Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and delivery of AYGF projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Develop project workplans, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and performance targets.
• Provide strategic leadership and supervision to project teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and challenges, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, contractual obligations, and relevant standards.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with donors, government agencies, partners, and other key stakeholders.
• Represent AYGF at relevant meetings, conferences, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
• Lead the development of high-quality, competitive project proposals, concept notes, and funding applications.
• Demonstrate strong proposal-writing skills and a proven track record of developing successful proposals that secure project funding.
• Identify funding opportunities and work with relevant teams to develop and submit timely and responsive proposals.
• Collaborate with the Finance and MEAL teams to ensure effective budgeting, financial management, monitoring, reporting, and documentation.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of high-quality donor and project reports.
• Capture project lessons, results, and best practices to support learning, programme improvement, and future proposal development.
• Support project close-out, transition, sustainability, and documentation processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualification should be minimum of M.Sc Degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields with at least 7+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on non-profit or development sectors.
• The Candidate should possess strong leadership, team management, and problem solving skills.
