Job Title:Medical Physicist ROS(Radiation Safety Officer)
Location: Kano

RESPONSIBILITIES (RSO)

  • Develop implement and maintain radiation safety policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Perform radiation safety risk assessments and audits
  • Perform radiation safety training and education for staff and patients.
  • Liaise with Dosimetry service providers (DSP) for staff personnel dosimetry monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and national standards (e.g NNRA, NCRP, IAEA, etc)
  • Investigate radiation incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of radiation safety activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSc. Degree in Medical Physics and it’s equivalent
  • Registration with the Nigeria Association of Medical Physicists (NAMP) as Full Membership
  • Additional Qualification in Radiation Safety(RSO) course.
  • Experience in Radiation Oncology Physics in highly desirable
  • Minimum of 4 years clinical experience including 2 years RSO experience will be an added advantage.
