Job Title:Medical Physicist ROS(Radiation Safety Officer)
Location: Kano
RESPONSIBILITIES (RSO)
- Develop implement and maintain radiation safety policies, procedures and protocols.
- Perform radiation safety risk assessments and audits
- Perform radiation safety training and education for staff and patients.
- Liaise with Dosimetry service providers (DSP) for staff personnel dosimetry monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and national standards (e.g NNRA, NCRP, IAEA, etc)
- Investigate radiation incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of radiation safety activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MSc. Degree in Medical Physics and it’s equivalent
- Registration with the Nigeria Association of Medical Physicists (NAMP) as Full Membership
- Additional Qualification in Radiation Safety(RSO) course.
- Experience in Radiation Oncology Physics in highly desirable
- Minimum of 4 years clinical experience including 2 years RSO experience will be an added advantage.
