Seven-Up Bottling Company Ltd is one of the largest manufacturing companies in Nigeria, producing and distributing some of the nation’s most- loved beverages in the country like; Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda, Teem, Mountain Dew, H2oH!, Lipton Ice Tea and Aquafina premium drinking water. SBC has recently entered into Home & Personal Care category with the 2SURE brand and launched its first product, a Hand & Surface Sanitizer. Seven Up boasts of nine bottling plants with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities strategically located across various regions in the country.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Material Planner
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Purpose
- To ensure the timely availability of raw and packaging materials required for uninterrupted production by effectively managing material requirements, inventory levels, replenishment, and material movements across manufacturing locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute monthly and periodic Material Requirement Planning (MRP) for assigned materials, including Crowns, Pallets, Lays, Sugar, Shrink & Stretch.
- Monitor material availability and consumption across locations to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
- Maintain optimal Days of Inventory (DOI) and manage inventory within approved minimum, maximum, safety stock, and reorder levels.
- Identify and minimize excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate with third-party partners, including Imperial Beverage Limited and Green Eagles, to ensure timely production and delivery of required materials.
- Create and monitor SAP Stock Transport Orders (STOs) for inter-regional material movements and ensure transaction accuracy.
- Prepare and submit timely RAWMA and material inventory reports to support planning and management decisions.
- Coordinate with Logistics to secure trucks and ensure timely loading and movement of materials to required locations.
- Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, Warehousing, and other stakeholders to resolve material supply constraints.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve material availability, inventory efficiency, planning accuracy, and supply chain performance.
Requirements
- Possess a B.Sc / HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field with 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in Materials Planning, Supply Chain planning, inventory management.
- Experience in an FMCG / manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience managing raw and packaging materials in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong skills in data analysis.
