Applications are now open for the 2026 Seyi Bickersteth Scholarship Programme, a scholarship initiative designed to support indigent Nigerian students who have gained admission into a Federal University in Nigeria

The programme provides financial support throughout the duration of an eligible four-year degree programme, along with  internship opportunities, mentorship, professional exposure, and potential  career opportunities with leading organisations, including KPMGLeadway Assurance, and Andersen

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be an indigent Nigerian student.
  • Have a provisional admission letter into a Federal University in Nigeria.
  • Be admitted into a four-year degree programme in any of the following courses:
    • Accounting
    • Business Administration
    • Economics
    • Actuarial  Science
    • Insurance
    • Finance
  • Have attended:
    • A public secondary school, or
    • A private secondary school where the student attended on a scholarship.
  • Have a minimum UTME score of 230.
  • Have at least five (5) distinctions in WASSCE, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Be a 100-level student at the time of application.

Benefits

Successful beneficiaries will receive:

  • Annual financial grant throughout the four-year course duration.
  • Internship opportunities during holidays or while on National Industrial Attachment.
  • Mentorship opportunities and professional exposure.
  • Upon graduation, scholars who obtain a First Class or Second Class Upper Division degree will be eligible for consideration to work with any of the programme’s partner firms:
    • KPMG
    • Leadway Assurance
    • Andersen
