Job Title:GBV Caseworker

Location : Zamfara 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide direct support and care for survivors of GBV, including specialized support for vulnerable groups (Adolescent girls, Child survivors, persons with disabilities and so on)
  • Ensure the safety of survivors by strictly adhering to the GBV guiding principles.
  • Provide individual case management steps and related tools and procedures.
  • Ensure proper documentation of reported GBV cases using the necessary case management and GBVIMS tools.
  • Conduct routine follow up of GBV cases to ascertain complete wellbeing of survivors.
  • Link survivors to appropriate care as needed (Medical, legal, security, etc.)
  • Utilize the referral pathway by linking survivors to service providers/other humanitarian actors as they arise.
  • Monitor/follow up on survivors who accessed other services through the referral pathways.
  • Participate in GBV awareness creation and sensitization activities.
  • Develop response plan/activity work plan on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Prepare and submit updated case reports on a weekly and monthly basis as required.
  • Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly review meetings.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma or first degree in any social science/medical science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-years hands on experience in program development and management of project implementation with CBO, NNGOs or INGOs.
  • Only Female Indigene Of Zamfara State Must Apply And Be Able To Speak Hausa Or Language Of The Community.
  • Strong communication skill: oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Should be a team player and culturally sensitive.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer application such as Ms word, email and utilization of the internet.
  • Must live in the community of intervention.
  • Being flexible and have the ability to cope with stressful situations.
  • Commitment to and understanding of RHHF’s aims, values and principles.
