The Katsina State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dikko Umar Radda, has officially announced a large-scale recruitment initiative to fill 2,158 vacant teaching positions across public schools in the state. This strategic move is a testament to the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of and addressing critical staffing gaps within its primary and secondary institutions.

Of the total number of vacancies, 1,500 qualified teachers will be deployed to primary schools, while 658 will be assigned to secondary schools. This significant recruitment drive is a key component of the state’s broader efforts to improve educational outcomes, reduce the teacher-to-student ratio, and strengthen the overall teaching and learning environment at both foundational and advanced levels.

A dedicated committee established by the government is tasked with overseeing this recruitment exercise. It has opened the application portal to indigenes of Katsina State who possess the requisite qualifications. Applicants will be considered for identified vacancies in various schools, based on the subjects currently in demand.

On the portal, applicants will be able to select their preferred school and subject(s) for teaching before completing the application form.

More clarification:
1. When you are applying, you will seen LGAs, select the one you want to be posted if you are successful.
2. Under the LGA you selected you will see schools, chose the one you want to be posted if you are successful.
3. Complete you application by providing the necessary information and attachments required.

It means when you are successful no need for follow up on posting to LGA, Zone of School. It is a direct application down to school level.
