BDSY equips undergraduate students with hands-on experience and foundational skills needed to apply big data analytics to human health.

Open to both U.S. and international students, the Big Data Summer Immersion Program provides participants with an in-depth understanding of data-driven research in healthcare and public health.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Undergraduate Students: All currently enrolled undergraduate students are eligible to apply.
  • Graduating Seniors: Eligible to apply; however, priority is given to rising juniors and seniors.
  • International Students: Applications are welcome. Limited scholarships are available for international applicants through non-NIH funding.
  • Residency: Open to students from all U.S. states and international locations, not limited to Connecticut residents.

Program Benefits

Selected participants will receive comprehensive funding, including:

  • Free accommodation throughout the program
  • $1,600 stipend
  • Up to $750 in travel support
  • $750 meal plan allowance
