Tittle: Safety Program Coordinator (U.S. Eligible Family Members (USEFMs) 

Description:

The U.S. Consulate Lagos, Nigeria is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Safety Program Coordinator in the Facilities Maintenace Section.

Duties

Reporting to the Facility Manager (FM), the incumbent is assigned to Facility Management (FAC) at the U.S. Consulate and will assist the Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (POSHO) and the Assistant POSHO in performing his/her duties by performing safety inspections at all compounds of the U.S. Consulate’s government-owned and leased properties. Incumbent will also act as the FAC liaison for all post Green Team projects and coordinate with Political/Economic Section’s Environment, Science, Technology and Health (ESTH) representatives to support Mission sustainability goals.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Completion of high school/secondary school is required.

Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of prior experience in an office or management related position is required.

Job Knowledge:

General knowledge of office working environments is required. Job holder will need to learn the operational environment in country as they will act at the FAC representative to host nation government entities, in conjunction with Political and Economic sections, but knowledge beforehand is not a requirement. Having a basic understanding of host nation government entities that intersect with their proposed workload is beneficial, as it will provide guidance on how best to navigate future engagements.

Skills And Abilities:

Basic keyboard skills and computer literacy, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite software is required. Must be observant, flexible, service oriented and is comfortable making presentations. Ability to possess a valid Secret clearance.

Salary: USD $38,541 /Per Year
