Job Title: Head of Programme

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Identification

The Head of Programme at AYGF is responsible for the strategic leadership, implementation, and management of all programmes and projects within the organization.
This role ensures that all initiatives align with AYGF’s mission and objectives, meet donor requirements, and achieve impactful results for beneficiaries.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of AYGF’s programmes across various sectors (e.g., youth empowerment, education, health, livelihoods, migration, etc.).
Ensure all projects align with AYGF’s strategic goals and donor requirements.
Supervise and mentor programme staff, ensuring efficient performance and professional growth.
Develop and implement systems for monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) to measure programme impact.
Lead the design of new programmes and initiatives in line with AYGF’s vision.
Identify funding opportunities and support proposal writing to secure grants and partnerships.
Strengthen relationships with donors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, including NGOs, government agencies, and private sector entities.
Enhance AYGF’s visibility and influence within the development sector.

Job Qualifications

Master’s Degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.
At least 7-10 years of experience in programme management within the NGO or development sector with strong leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, LogFrame, Theory of Change tools, etc.).
Strong experience in donor engagement and proposal development.
