NEYIF is a National Non-Governmental, Non for Profit, Humanitarian and Development Organization that promotes an all-inclusive society for all. NEYIF was established in 2013, with operational offices in North-East and North-West Nigeria, the office headquarters is in Damaturu, the capital of Yobe state.
NEYIF work in creating access and linking most vulnerable members of the community to humanitarian support and assistance. In the last years, NEYIF had engaged in Profiling, Identification, Registration, Tracking, Supporting and provision of humanitarian assistance to communities affected by conflict, at risk and host communities through Food Assistance, Livelihood support, Agriculture Support, Education, Health and Nutrition, WASH, Shelter, Protection, GBV, CBT and others with support of Donors (Direct or Indirect) funded project.
Job Title: Communication Officer
Location: Damaturu, Yobe state
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement communication strategies and plans.
- Create and manage content for various communication channels (print, digital and social media).
- Support visibility and advocacy activities of the organization.
- Document and share success stories, photos and updates.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on communication matters.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field (with relevant experience).
- At least 2 years’ experience in communication, media or related field (NGO experience is an added advantage).
- Strong writing, editing and content creation skills (print and digital).
- Proficiency in social media management, graphic design and multimedia tools (photos/videos).
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Passion for Humanitarian and Development work, Peace Building/PCVE.
