Description:
- We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee (Environmental Specialist) to join our environmental services team.
- The successful candidate will receive practical exposure to environmental consulting, field inspections, environmental sampling, laboratory-related activities, environmental data analysis, compliance monitoring and technical report preparation.
- This role is suitable for a graduate who has a strong interest in Chemistry and Environmental Services and is willing to learn, work both in the office and in the field, and develop a professional career in environmental consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with environmental assessments, inspections and field studies.
- Support environmental sampling, data collection and analysis.
- Assist with laboratory activities and environmental monitoring.
- Support environmental reporting, audits and compliance documentation.
- Assist with ETP monitoring and other environmental consultancy projects.
- Prepare and maintain project records, reports and other technical documentation.
- Support the Environmental Specialist and project team in client and field assignments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Science, Science Laboratory Technology (SLT), Environmental Biology, Health Education or a related field.
- Candidates must have a strong Chemistry-related academic background.
- NYSC completion is required.
- Computer literacy is mandatory, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good communication, analytical and report-writing skills.
- Ability to collect, analyse and evaluate environmental data.
- Willingness to participate in fieldwork, environmental inspections, sampling and site assignments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interest in environmental consultancy, compliance, pollution control and sustainability.
- Previous internship or practical experience in an environmental, laboratory or related setting is an advantage.
