Job Title: Research Assistant
Reports to: Senior Research Project Manager
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Part Time- grant funded
Overall
The Research Assistant provides essential support to Project Managers carrying out foundational research tasks. This role primarily focuses on data entry and other core activities that help ensure the smooth operation of studies and projects.
Specific duties include:
- Supports Research Project Managers in executing research protocols and study procedures.
- Assists with online data collection, including interviews and focus groups.
- Assists with virtual survey development.
- Accesses data and protects participant confidentiality using safe and secure organizational procedures.
- Attends research/project team meetings.
- Supports special studies or projects as directed.
Required Job Knowledge & Skills, Education, Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a social science, public health, or related field with at least 1 year of research experience or closely related direct service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical proficiency with various online platforms including Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other coordination tools (e.g., Box, Notion) OR ability to learn these programs quickly.
- Knowledge of research protocols, principles, and procedures; experience with qualitative
- data collection and quantitative survey development preferred.
- Knowledge of ethics and regulatory procedures (i.e., informed consent, IRB applications, data safety and monitoring plans) involved with research.
- Experience conducting human subjects’ research with vulnerable populations.
- Ideal candidates will possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while maintaining frequent communication with team members in a remote/virtual work environment.

What you can expect from the Center
- 10-20hrs a week at $25/hr.
- Work from home stipends for phone, internet, utilities, and equipment.

- The Center staff work from home. However, we are a highly collaborative, active team with regular interaction.
