Backend Developer Intern
Backend Developer Interns will assist with developing, testing and maintaining backend applications and APIs. Responsibilities include supporting database management, troubleshooting technical issues, participating in code reviews and collaborating with frontend developers.
Applicants should have basic knowledge of at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, PHP or C#. Knowledge of object-oriented programming, SQL, relational databases and RESTful APIs is advantageous. Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills are also required.
Programme Management Intern
Programme Management Interns will support the planning, coordination and execution of programmes and projects. They will conduct research and data analysis, prepare reports and presentations, participate in meetings and workshops, and contribute to programme strategies.
Applicants should preferably have a background in project management, business administration or a related discipline. Organisational skills, stakeholder management, communication, leadership and ownership are important. Email Marketing Intern
The Email Marketing Intern will assist with planning and executing email campaigns, developing content, managing mailing lists and monitoring campaign performance.
Applicants should understand basic email marketing principles and preferably have familiarity with platforms such as Mailchimp, Brevo or HubSpot. Strong writing and editing skills, basic data analysis abilities and effective communication are required.
Data Analysis Intern
Data Analysis Interns will support research, analyse datasets, generate reports and develop dashboards providing insights into Nigeria’s higher education system.
The position offers exposure to data gathering, storage, analysis and visualisation, with interns expected to develop into what TIC describes as “Fullstack Data Analysts.”
A university degree is not compulsory, although it is an advantage. Applicants may also qualify through relevant work experience or self-directed learning. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI, data modelling and data visualisation is particularly relevant.
HR and Administration Intern
The HR and Administration Intern will support recruitment and selection, onboarding, talent management, performance management and learning and development activities.
Responsibilities may include preparing job descriptions and advertisements, reviewing applications, supporting interviews and helping deliver onboarding processes.
Applicants should demonstrate strong people skills, effective communication, empathy and basic knowledge of talent management and human capital development. Familiarity with Microsoft or Google productivity tools is also useful.
Product Management Intern
Product Management Interns will support product research, planning and execution through market research, competitor analysis and user feedback collection.
They will also assist with documenting product requirements, user stories and feature specifications while collaborating with design and development teams. Applicants should understand basic product management and user-centred design principles and possess strong organisational, communication and analytical skills.
Research Management Intern
Research Management Interns will support research projects from planning through completion. Responsibilities include literature reviews, data collection, research documentation, project tracking and preparation of reports and presentations.
Applicants should have a basic understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Strong organisation, critical thinking, communication, attention to detail and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams are important.
