Job Title: Area Sales Supervisor 
Location: kano

The Role:

Responsible for the management of the Sales Representatives in the assigned territories to achieve overall sales objectives as well as numeric and weighted distribution of BIC products in the sales universe.

 

Main Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Deliver sales and GP targets for the assigned territory and categories.
  • Manage, coach and monitor Sales Representatives performance through regular field accompaniment and performance reviews.
  • Develop and optimise route/journey plans to maximise territory and outlet coverage.
  • Drive numeric and weighted distribution and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Monitor execution of promotions, merchandising, visibility and new product launches.
  • Ensure effective stock availability, order generation, delivery follow-up and cash collection.
  • Monitor competitor pricing and market activities and provide relevant insights to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Conduct regular reviews of territory performance and implement corrective actions where required.

  • New outlet acquisition
  • Promotion and in-market execution
  • Wholesaler/distributor performance

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in FMCG Sales/Business Development
  • Prior experience leading a team of Sales reps
  • Proven track record of delivering sales, distribution and coverage targets.
  • Strong understanding of territory management, route planning and distributor/wholesaler management.
  • Good commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales and market data.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, organised and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
