Shaping the Next Generation of Public Sector Leaders

The Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI) has officially launched the 2026 LMI Fellowship Call for Applications at the LMI Youth Town Hall, held in commemoration of International Youth Day.

The 2026 LMI Fellowship Programme is now open to young Nigerians who are passionate about leadership, public service, governance, and legislative development and are ready to deepen their understanding, build meaningful networks, and contribute to national development.

Who Should Apply

Selection Criteria

We look for dedicated young Nigerians with proven commitment to public service and national development.

Leadership Track Record

Strong and demonstrable leadership and development skills with a credible track record in service to community or society.

Communication & Creativity

English fluency (oral and written), with creativity and innovation for practical and workable solutions.

Patriotism & Vision

Patriotic, visionary and passionate about Nigeria’s stability, growth and development, with an interest in participating in the Nigerian legislature.

Commitment

Willingness to commit to the values and full programme of the LMI.

Age 21–35

Applicants must be between ages 21 and 35.

A comprehensive, fully residential, three-week annual programme for passionate Nigerians aged 21–35 ready to serve in the legislature and public sector. Through intensive training, mentorship, and hands-on experience, we equip you with the skills, knowledge, and network to drive meaningful change.
